This this second video covers how to measure DC current.

I also discuss AC (alternating current) and DC (direct current) voltage and which one can be more dangerous.

I use a Fluke 177 multimeter for this demonstration provided by Comtest: www.ComTest.co.za

A list of my multimeters can be purchased here:

Items covered in this multimeter tutorial:
    * Multimeter safety
    * How to measure current; how to measure a car battery / lead acid battery; how to measure mains electricity / power outlet / 220 volt / 110 volt.
    * What is electricity; how does electricity work; what is voltage; what is current / amps / ampage / ampere.

  • Voltage Standard Ref Tests - Follow-up

*** This is a follow-up to the first round of testing I did as viewers spotted / pointed out some critical issues that affected the results ***

I also test the Fluke 87 V with the reference voltage, resistance and current values.

I demonstrate the DMMCheck and PentaRef from VoltageStandard (www,voltagestandard.com).
Digital Multimeter reference / accuracy check

These are Low cost Voltage References and multimeter checks for voltage, current and resistance.
I then run through some tests to compare the accuracy of the following multimeters:

    Fluke 287
    Brymen TBM867 / BM867
    Major Tech MT1887 / Extech EX530
    Major Tech MT22
    ISO-Tech IDM207

I also introduce the Fluke 87 V which I will review soon.
