Fluke has added the Raytek ThermoView Ti30 Thermal Imager to its test and measurement product line as the Fluke Ti30 Thermal Imager. Available through Comtest, who is a southern African distributor for the device, the Fluke Ti30 Thermal Imager is specifically intended for infrared preventive and predictive maintenance (PPM) at industrial and large commercial property sites

In simple terms, emissivity can be likened to the reflectivity – or shininess – of an object. With the other low cost imagers out there, if you don’t enter the emissivity reading of one particular substance at the time of taking the image and you only realise once you get it back to your desk that you have forgotten to enter it, you have to go back on site to take it."
