Rigol appoints Comtest as its exclusive distributor |

 Rigol Technologies Inc (RIGOL) of Beijing in China has appointed Comtest (Pty) Limited (Comtest) as its sole distributor in southern Africa effective August 2007. RIGOL is an emerging leader in the test and measurement field.
RIGOL’s current product line consists of Digital Oscilloscopes, Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generators, Virtual Instruments with LXI compatibility and more.
James Zhu, International Regional Manager for RIGOL, who visited South Africa recently, is confident that Comtest is the right partner to develop the RIGOL brand in Africa. “Comtest has the right mix of technical expertise, service capability and experience to develop the market and, together with its large installed dealer base throughout South and southern Africa, to establish RIGOL as a serious contender in the test and measurement field.
RIGOL has experienced tremendous growth and success over the past few years. “We invest heavily in R&D and today have over fifty R&D engineers working on future products. RIGOL has 10 sales offices in China along with a branch office in North America.
“Currently we offer our products and services in over 42 countries or regions on six continents utilizing more than 150 distributors and representatives.” Says Zhu.
“We have also been recognized in the market and recently won the prestigious EDN China Annual Innovation Award for the RIGOL DS1000 series DSO along with The Local Innovation Company Award, the first time it has ever been awarded to a Chinese company.”
