The Chongqing Lifan Industry (Group) Company Ltd (Lifan) of China has appointed Comtest Power (Pty) Limited (Comtest Power) as its sole distributor in southern Africa effective immediately. Lifan is one of the biggest privately-owned enterprises in China involved in the development of technology and the manufacture and sales of vehicles & motorcycles, engines, generators and a range of power products for the construction sector.
Andy Tian, the International Regional Manager for Lifan, who visited South Africa recently, is confident that Comtest is the right partner to develop their range of Lifan power products in Africa. "Comtest has the right mix of technical expertise, service capability and experience in developing the market and a dealer base to establish Lifan as a serious contender in this market." says Tian.
The Lifan product ranges that Comtest will be distributing include a number of petrol driven products ideally suited to the construction sector including impact and vibration rammers, burnishing machines, arc welders, pressure washers, water pumps and cutters. It also includes a whole range of petrol generators and engines
With 12 000 employees, a national-level technology center, and an annual sales turnover of over RMB 10.395 billion Yuan, Lifan is one of China's Top 500 enterprises and is the leader of the top 50 private enterprises in Chongqing.
