Fluke Corporation (Fluke) has appointed Comtest (Pty) Limited’s as its sole distributor in southern Africa effective 3rd January 2005. Fluke is the world leader in the manufacture, distribution and service of electrical and industrial test tools solutions.

Africa has confidence that the newly formed Comtest will take Fluke
sales to new heights and quickly become a leading force in the test and
measurement market in South Africa.

Comtest MD, Peter Verwer, is no newcomer to Fluke or
the electrical industry which he has been involved with since 1969.
His association with Fluke dates back to 1985.

products which will be supported by a high level of service from people
with specialist knowledge and expertise. We will concentrate on
marketing Fluke products and will be offering the market an expanded
range of high quality electrical and industrial products.
The
skilled people who will make up the Comtest sales team include:
Richard Lewis – sales director, Brendan Campbell – product manager,
Hilton Preston – sales manager - precision measurement; with internal
sales support.
Repair and Metrology Services (RMS), headed up by
Les Wesson and Van Zyl Koegelenberg, will service the Fluke products
handling all the calibration and repair requirements countrywide. Les
has been a metrologist for over 20 years, is well known in the market
place and both Les and Van Zyl have worked with and are very
experienced with Fluke equipment so clients will be able to sleep easy
knowing their equipment is in very good hands.
A dealer network
will handle sales of handheld test and measurement products, and any
dealers interested in coming on board are encouraged to contact us.
The Fluke high precision calibration and data acquisition products will
be sold directly by Comtest to identified key accounts.
Master dealers have been appointed in the Durban and Cape Town regions to sell and support the Comtest range of products.
