Comtest Technologies, accredited southern African partner to Fluke – global leader in handheld electronic test and measurement equipment has, in response to customer demand, released a new line of clamp meters specifically for in-house electricians (electrical systems), industrial maintenance technicians (industrial equipment), control technicians (industrial controls) and HVAC contractors (commercial and industrial HVAC).
The range is diverse and offers new innovations like the iFlex coil and remote display. In tight cabinets or spaces where wires are bound or are closely packed and it a challenge to measure and dangerous to use the clamp jaws to pry apart the wires, the iFlex coil simplifies measurement taking. The remote display can be separated up to 10 meters from the body of the clamp without compromising accuracy or integrity. It is also no longer necessary to get assistance from a co-worker for these remote measurements.
There are six models in the new line of clamps, each of which addresses a unique set of needs and challenges:
The base model Fluke 373 features 600A ac; True-rms; capacitance and is Cat III 600V and CAT IV 300V rated.
The 374 has all of the 373 base model’s features and in addition is Cat III 1000V and CAT IV 600V rated; 600A dc current; inrush; Min/Max/Avg; Extended Jaw and has +iFlex capability.
The 375 has all of the features of the 374 plus 60 kΩ resistance range; +frequency measurement; +mV dc and + low pass filter.
The 376 the features of the 375 plus 1000 A ac and dc resistance range and +iFlex flexible current probe
The 381 has most of the 376’s features plus remote display but does not include capitance or mV dc.
The 365 is the basic troubleshooting tool featuring 200 A ac and dc; True-rms; detachable jaw, built-in flashlight and CAT III 600V.
